Obituary of Marion Billingham

Marion Billingham, a long time Stamford resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Mary 11, 2010. Born on January 29, 1926 in Darien, CT, she was the daughter of the late Raymond M. Billingham and Maude Gartrell Billingham. Marion was a graduate of Stamford High School, class of 1944. She retired from General Electric Credit Corporation after more than 24 years of service. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Springdale, CT and the Arthritis Foundation. Marion enjoyed working in the yard, doing crossword puzzles and cheering on the New York Mets. She is survived by her sister, Dora Mix of Sarasota, FL; nieces, Judith Copeland of Sarasota, FL; Claire Fawcett of Fountain Hills, AZ; Nancy Tucker of Randolph, VT; and a nephew, Richard Mix of Shelton, CT. A private family burial was held at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. Arrangements handled by the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien, CT.
