Obituary of Patricia Newhams

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Patricia Altenhof Newhams, 67, of Norwalk passed away on March 16th at The Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence, following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 21, 1940 to the late Herman Louis and Alice Jane Altenhof, she was a 37 year resident of Norwalk. Before retiring in 2004, Pat was a longtime Supervisor in the Patient Accounts Departments of Stamford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Silver Hill Hospital. She was an avid bridge player, golfer and cook. In addition to her many precious friends, Pat is survived by her son Jeffrey and his wife Kaisa of Cos Cob, her son Michael and his children, Kinsey and Ryan of Sarasota, FL, her sisters, Geraldine Altenhof of Pittsburgh, PA and Barbara Knapp of Sacramento, CA, and uncle, Robert McAllister of Southgate, KY. A memorial service will be held on March 20th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Parish, 1864 Post Road, in Darien. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's name to The Richard L.
