William (Bill) C. Johnsen, a resident of New York City, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York. Born on December 31, 1955 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Townsend) Johnsen and was predeceased by a brother Robert (Rob) P. Johnsen.
Having spent his early years in Darien, Bill called New York City home as an adult, working there as a writer and editor in the financial services industry and pursuing his interest in the arts, including music and poetry. He is warmly remembered by loving family and friends whose lives he enriched in countless ways and who will miss his unique and loving personality.
Burial will be at the Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 2 o’clock. Friends wishing to honor him are invited to attend and those wanting to may send memorials to the charity of their choice.
