Obituary of Jerry V. Cangiano

Jerry V. Cangiano, a former longtime resident of New York and a former 16 year resident of Naples, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Arden House in Hamden, CT. Born on August 16, 1939 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late George and Pauline Vicario Cangiano. He was 79. Jerry graduated from Notre Dame in Indiana. He retired from his marketing and sales companies which included owning his own limousine company and having his real estate license. He had a passion for bowling and classic cars including the Rolls Royce and the Lincoln 4-Door Convertible. He was addicted to golf in his later years. He is survived by his wife Maria C. Cangiano of Carmel, NY; three sons Steven of Virginia, Michael of Cheshire, CT and George of North Carolina; and four grandchildren Jake, Sean, Mia and Genaro. He is also survived by two brothers Ralph of New York and Jim of Florida and their families. On Marias side, he is survived by Helen Holowinsky sister-in-law, Rich and Tanya Heise with sons Matthew and Nikolas, Jim and Christine Moran with daughters Adrianna and Marissa. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM.
