Obituary of Anna Mary O'Rourke

Anna Mary O'Rourke, a resident of Darien, CT since 1970, died on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Courtland Gardens Health Care Center in Stamford, CT. Born July 15, 1921 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Michael Edward and Kathryn (Heffron)Mullen. She was 86. Anna Mary was a former secretary for Chan-Kook Rha, MD. She was a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church in Darien and had a great love of gardening, the Darien Library and cruises. She is survived by her six children, Terence J. O'Rourke and; Patricia O'Rourke of Darien; Cleo O'Rourke of Seattle, WA; Kathryn O'Rourke and Amy O'Rourke of Norwalk and Andrew O'Rourke of Denver, CO. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Samantha Bell of Norwalk. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew T. O'Rourke. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, June 13, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Darien Library, 35 Leroy Avenue, Darien, CT 06820.
