Obituary of Parick J. Brennan

Patrick J. Brennan, a 25 year resident of Darien, CT, died at home on Saturday, June 21, 2008. Born in 1938 in Paris, France, he was the son of Dr. Rene Brennan of Neuilly-sur-seine, France and the late Dr. Patrick James Brennan. He was 70. Patrick graduated from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service in Washington, DC with a BA degree. He had a long career in international banking prior to a second career in executive search and consulting. Patrick was the ultimate "do-it yourselfer" and could fix or repair anything. He was a former president of Ox Ridge Hunt Club, a member of the R.T.M., served on the Board of Planning & Zoning, was a governor of Squadron A Club in New York, NY, a member of the Darien Boat Club and served in the French Military. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan Brennan of Darien; two sons, Patrick A Brennan and his wife Jill of New Canaan, CT; Mark J. Brennan of Cross River, NY; a daughter, Catherine Hunnicutt and her husband Brian of New York, NY and two grandchildren, Grace and Ashleigh Brennan of Cross River, NY. He is also survived by a brother, Gilbert Brennan and three sisters, Elizabeth Orts, Anne Van Gysel and Edith Bergerac all of France. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1864 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM.
