Obituary of Judd R. Harding

Judd R. Harding, age 62, of Stamford, CT, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. Son of the late James William and Anna Marie Schelling Harding, he was born on September 18, 1946 in Norwalk and was a graduate of Rippowam High School, Class of 1965. Mr. Harding enjoyed building model ships and traveling with various National Geographic Expeditions. A graduate of the Vietnamese Language School in El Paso, TX in 1967, he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant while serving two tours of duty in Saigon. He was also the recipient of the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service. Mr. Harding was a commercial property underwriter for many years and prior to his retirement in 2003, he worked for The Insurance Exchange, Inc. for 14 of those years. He was also a member of several Masonic organizations in Fairfield County. He is survived by his wife, Clare. Other survivors include his brother, James of Florida and his sister, Jerri Zannino and her husband, James, of Milford, CT as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Julie Ann Watson in 2006. Services and committal are private. Arrangements are in care of the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien, CT.
