Colin & Mrs White - I wanted to extend my condolonces for the passing of Mr White (I could never refer to him as Archie, as Mr White was always drilled into me during soccer practice :-). I have fond memories of him up to this day, and I'm sure I always will. It was great to catch up with him recently when you both were over Mom's house for dinner parties. Even thought I might have not have been one of the best players on those teams he coached (Colin and Steve were always the best), I really enjoyed the time he taught me the fundamentals of game. I now have a better appreciation for the sport now being over here in the UK. Every time I speak with one of my managers at work, who happens to live in Glasgow, I immediatley thing of him, as that voice with the great accent is forever in the back of my head telling me to "run, chris, run!" If one of lifes goals is to leave lasting impressions on others, he certainly left a great one with me.

Morag, Colin, Tulie, and kids, please accept our deepest sympathies. As a big brother, Archie was always, and still is, my hero - a real man's man. He was an astounding role model for me throughout my life. He set the standard for big brothers! Ever quick to point out the ironies and humour in life, he was a bastion of kindness, thoughtfulness, empathy, and honourableness. Words can't express my admiration for him. Although medical problems overwhelmed him in his later life, he delighted in his two grand-children, as he was a big kid himself at heart all through his life. Sincerest thanks to Morag , Colin, and Tulie for looking after him so patiently. Our thoughts are constantly with you all.

Uncle Archie features heavily in my childhood memories as an enigmatic character full of good humour and fun.It was Archie who bought Elaine, Jac and me a huge black and white teddy bear, much bigger than any of us, called Tiny Tim. He remained a much loved toy and wrestling opponent until lack of stuffing forced him into retirement. Although I was unable to see him in later years I will always remember him in that way, as a kind and interesting man with an ability to connect with children and as someone who knew how important laughter is. Morag and Colin, our thoughts are with you and with all of Archies relatives, friends and colleagues. Lots of love from Gordon, Sandra, Alfie and Oliver White
