To the Family of Dusty: On behalf of the USNA Class of 1940, please accept our condolences and deepest sympathies on Dusty's passing. I remember Dusty commenting once that "Everyone named Rhodes got the nickname Dusty." Well, his life was a road well-traveled, full of adventures, true love and many friends. When that trail led up to the gates of heaven, you can be sure there was a large blue-and-gold welcome home party for him, hosted by the many classmates who preceded him on that path. Regards, Wendi Winters Hon. Vice President USNA Class of 1940 Daughter of the late Early Winters

The first time that I contacted Dusty was when I thought he was the father of one of my 1956 DHS class mates who we could not locate at reunion time. That Rhodes family had moved away. We had a pleasant conversation. Dusty knew my parents who were very active in the Congregational Church. He and my father were early members of SMA. I got to know Dusty when I joined SMA about 7 years ago. I have enjoyed talking to his step son Douglas who Dusty brought to SMA this fall. His step son-in-law Paul & I play ping pong @ the Darien Sr. Center. I will miss Dusty's very cordial greeting when SMA resumes on January 7th
