I couldn't have been luckier to have Betty as my mother. When I was a child, she woke me up every morning by singing to me, and was truly the best mom in the world. Betty was always kind and considerate, with unconditional love and compassion for everyone, that's why she had so many friends. Betty glowed with her enthusiasm for life, and enjoyed every minute of it, dancing to the end... until she was 83! She was a phenomenon, and will be missed, but unforgettable!

"Betty" was a close and continuous part of my life for over 65 years. She was a true sister to me since even before she and my brother Conrad married some 65 years ago. She was dearly loved, too, as sister and aunt by Robert and Doris Hill Jones and their children and grandchildren, by my husband Peter Bruning and our children and grandchildren. My heart goes out, in shared grief and glad memories, to her beloved Philip and family, to Elizabeth's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, to her sisters and their families, to the family of her deceased brother, to all her friends and associates, and to those of us from her close and extended Jones/Archer/Bruning/Payne family. She brought much delight and beauty to our lives, and will glow forever in our hearts.

We just found out about the passing of Mrs. Morehouse. We met her at the First Infantry's reunion. What a grand lady and a joy to be around. Our sympathies to her family. She will be greatly missed.
