I have known Rusty, as he was called then, since we were both 14 years old. We were into cars, cars, maybe girls, and cars. He loved Bo-Didley. His yearbook mentions he was an indivualist, and that he was in the best sense of the word. He knew what he liked. Beleiving the statutes of limitations applies, I recall Sgt Rene Bucks of the DPD chasing us through the woods thinking we possibly had lit a fire on Leroy Avenue on Halloween Night. Lots of memories. Water skiing at Lake Zoar with Dianne and Jay Raymond. Going cross country with Eric, Rich, Russ and myself in a Model A Ford and MG-TD. Boat excusions to Long Island with our wives and friends. Ernie's on friday night. Later on, the tempo was a little slower for all of us, but we always enjoyed Russ's great sense of humor. He always could tell a story that would hold our interest. Not always because of the subject, but just by the way he told it. I will miss my Best Man

We have known Rusty for over 40 years and have such fond memories - the Friday nights at Ernie’s, the parties on New Years Day he and Pam had, the Halloween costume parties we had at our home in Southport (he was such a good sport with the costumes that Pam would come up with), the many excursions we took via boat over to Long Island to spend the day on the beach, the holiday parties we had at our home now in Naugatuck, the casual gatherings with Dianne & Bruce & Pam & Al. Rusty will be missed and forever remembered in our hearts. He was a warm, caring individual with a fabulous sense of humor, one we will all miss dearly.

I have known Russ my whole life. I have been lucky enough to have Russ and Pam as my Godparents. Growing up I remember Russes funny stories and wonderful laugh. I can hear him now. I would always look forward to our visits with Pam and Russ becuase I knew that we would always have a great time. Pam and Russ came all the way out to Ohio for my wedding and Russ was such a sport and did one of the readings for us. What a fun time we all had. Pam, I love you and please know how much I want to be with you this Friday. I will sure miss you my Godfather.

Eric and Russ met in Jr. High Shop class (Russ was building his first go-kart) -- and a friendship was begun. The odyssey across country by Russ, Al, Rick and Eric have been the subject of discussion and laughter throughout the years. Jennye joined the "Darien" group Freshman year of college and came along for the Maxel runs. Russ came to Illinois to be part of our wedding and has been part of every important occasion of our lives. Russ and Pam are aunt and uncle to our children and godparents for our daughter Cathy (that is after Russ "inspected" her and decided she was worthy). Though Pam and Russ are not related to us by blood, they are by heart. We cherished Russ' friendship and will always cherish his memory. God speed dear friend.

I am sorry about the loss of your loved one. Words cannot describe feelings in a time like this. Many have found comfort in the Bible's promises of seeing our past loved ones again such as at John 5 verses 28 and 29. Take care of yourselves and keep memories of your past loved one close.
