Obituary of Albert S. Zavory

Albert S. Zavory, a resident of Darien for the past 20 years and a former long time resident of Norwalk, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Honey Hill Care Center in Norwalk. Born in 1924 in Emeigh, PA, he was the son of the late Gabor and Susan (Kiss) Zavory. He was 85. Albert served with the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a long time employee of Nash Engineering, a parishioner of Calvin Reformed Church in Norwalk, a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club and Saint Ann's Club. He is survived by two sisters, Irene Hasting and Marie Smilansky both of Norwalk and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gabor Zavory and Joseph Zavory both of Norwalk; and three sisters, Helen Toledon of Darien; Elizabeth Gadoci and Dorothy Valentik both of Norwalk. A private family service and interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvin Reformed Church, P. O.
