Obituary of Ann C. Testa

Ann C. Testa, a long time resident of Darien, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009. Born on June 5, 1926 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Mary (Florentine) Rose. She was 82. Ann graduated from Stamford High School. She married her husband Sam when he returned from the service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed her life as a homemaker. Ann was an avid shopper, she enjoyed reading and spending time in the sun. She worked part-time for 19 years as a childcare provider at the Darien YMCA. She enjoyed her winters in Florida. She will be missed by all her friends in Jupiter, FL and Darien. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Sam J. Testa; two sons, Richard Testa and his wife Sharon of Stamford and John Testa and his wife Robin of Darien; and a daughter, Patricia Czelada and her husband Steve of Stamford. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Richard, Jr.and Corey Testa; Nicholas, Joseph and Samantha Testa; Kaitlyn, Nicole, Jake, Zack and Ryan Czelada; and three great grandchildren, Brandon and Kyle Testa; and Taylor Testa. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R. C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
