Obituary of Anthony Michael Frate

Anthony Michael Frate, a life long resident of Darien, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Greenwich Hospital. Born in 1941 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Evelyn Orgera and D. Nick Frate. He was 67.
Anthony attended Darien public schools. He was co-owner of Fox Hill Builders. Prior to Fox Hill Builders, Anthony owned multiple businesses in Darien including the Shell Station and Darien Auto Center. He was a member of the Piedmont Association, Darien Old Timers and Darien Boat Club. He was a long time avid boater and fisherman. He was a wonderful father and enthusiastic entrepreneur.
He is survived by a son, Nicholas Frate and a daughter Monica Frate both of Darien. He is also survived by two sisters, Judy Scott of Rye, NH and Diane Frate of Norwalk and two brothers, Jeffrey Frate and Roger Frate both of Darien.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, May 15, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
