Today someone told me Colleen had died. I was in total shock. She used to come into our store to buy liitle gifts for the nurses at the hospital where she had chemo. I remember her with the children and how much she loved them. And how concerned she was that they had to deal with it. She told me about her travelling on the train to Boston for her last session of some experimental treatment and how positive she was about it. I met her mum too and Colleen touched us in a special way- She was so beautiful and my heart just broke today on hearing the news. I must have only met her a dozen times- And the last time she told me she had bad news- her cancer had returned. It was so sad. Maybe we connected because I am Irish too- born and bred in Ireland. Whatever it was she was a great light. I am so sorry for yours and your childrens and her entire family's loss. Anjela

Dear Reilly, Maeve, Caoilinn, Jack and Fionn, I am deeply saddened at Colleen's passing. I remember the day we met -- at the Library -- when Maeve and Caroline were about 2 years old. We spent a lot of time together during the pre-school years for Maeve/Caroline and Jack/Harry, and I have wonderful memories of our times and conversations. Funny, smart, kind, grounded, brave, and a phenomenal wife and mother. She has left you an amazing legacy, and she will live on in all of you, for which we can all be thankful.
