Dear Sue, Rachel and Nicole, I have only known Dave for a few years, but his infectious laugh, kindness and generosity will be remembered for years to come. Bruce admired, respected and loved Dave and he reminded me last night that when we first started dating, he told me about this wonderful couple, named Dave and Sue, that he couldn't wait to introduce me to. I want to share a story with you. On Friday morning, I was in a quiet place with a woman who told me that she had seen a vision of a man with white hair -- she could only see him from behind -- he had his arms around three woman and all four of you were surrounded by a blue and white light. She told me that the light signified that he was bathing you with love and wanted you to know that he was at peace. I loved seeing all of the photos of him last night laughing and enjoying life. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend. this is my wish for you: comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, friendships to brighten your being, beauty for your eyes to see, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, patience to accept the truth, courage to know yourself, love to complete your life. You are in our prayers. Dave was a good and gentle soul who left this earth far too soon.

Dear Sue and family, I am so terribly sorry to hear of Dave's sudden passing. My time at PBMS with him has always held fond memories for me of him as a mentor to me. He loved you, his girls and his bike and I just know the world will be a little less brighter with him gone.

I have to say the world isn't as bright without Dave in it. I didn't know Dave long, but absolutely thought the world of him. We worked together at HNTB and the trips I took that I knew I'd see Dave were the ones I looked forward to the most. Dave will be sorely missed.
