Obituary of Florence G. Eaton

Florence G. Eaton, a life long resident of Darien, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Stamford Hospital in Stamford. Born in 1924 in Darien, she was the daughter of the late Florence Blakely and Edward Gibson. She was 85.
Florence graduated from Darien High School. She was a long time employee of Pitney Bowes, a parishioner of the United Methodist Church of Springdale and also had a great love of needlepoint.
Florence is survived by her three children, George E. Eaton of Darien; Warren E. Eaton of Greenwich, CT; and Dawn E. Clark of Patterson, NY. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest G. Eaton in 2005.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Lawrence Funeral Home on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
