Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Van Dyke Johnson, born January 22, 1922, died peacefully at home on December 24, 2009. Betty and her husband, Howard, are former long time residents of Darien. She grew up in Chicago, acting in summer stock, being the beloved wife of Howard S. Johnson and mother to Gerard and Valerie. Betty spent days entranced with the stock market as well as selling and buying real estate. She was a long time member of both the Noroton Presbyterian Church and Winged Foot Women's Associations. She finally retired to pursue an interest in bridge and investments. We all miss her and her wonderful sense of humor.
