Obituary of Emmett J. Sheehan

Emmett J. Sheehan, a long time resident of Stamford, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Stamford. Born in 1930 in Stamford, he was the son of the late James P. Sheehan and Delia A. Walsh Sheehan. He was 79. Emmett served with the U. S. Marines during the Korean War. He was a long time local successful painter. He is survived by a sister, Patricia Kough of Stamford and a brother, Michael Sheehan also of Stamford. He is also survived by two nephews, Bruce Kough and his wife Mora of Darien and James M. Sheehan of Stamford. He was predeceased by his wife, Suzanne Baker Sheehan and a brother, Daniel B. Sheehan. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and Monday, March 15, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R. C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John R.C. Cemetery, Darien.
