Obituary of Patricia Elizabeth Brown

Patricia Elizabeth Brown, a long time resident of Darien, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Stamford Hospital, Stamford. Born on March 17, 1929 in Sag Harbor, NY, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Katherine (O'Brien) Toole. She was 81. Patricia was a former president and long time volunteer of the Darien Book Aid, a member of the Noroton Yacht Club and a parishioner of St. John R. C. Church in Darien. She is survived by her husband, Donald J. Brown; two daughters, Catherine Trosan of Lewisville, NC and Toni Jennings of Guilford, CT and a son, Donald J. Brown, Jr. of Darien; and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, David Toole of Englewood, NJ. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd., Darien, on Friday, July 16, 2010 from 5:00to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
