Obituary of Marjorie B. Zareski

Marjorie B. Zareski, a long time resident of Stamford, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Richard Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. Born on February 23, 1923 in Norwalk, she was the daughter of the late Anna Murphy and Charles Butts. She was 87. Marjorie was a retired employee of Royal McBee Typewriter Co. in Stamford. She was a very active long time parishioner of St. John R.C. Church in Darien and volunteered at Person-to-Person. She is survived by her a daughter, Carol Howard of Surfside Beach, SC; two sons, Peter S. Zareski of Wilton, CT and William J. Zareski of Stamford; and five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Zareski, one brother, Roger and two sisters, Shirley and Anna Mae. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to VNA Hospice Care, 1266 East Main Street, Stamford, CT 06902 or St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien, CT 06820.
