Dear Lolly, Mimi, Dan & Mike, I want to tell you what a pleasure it was to know your Mom (& Dad). They were there for me when I dated 'Scarlett' (1968-72) and we visited your house together and felt "at home." I will never forget going to Linden Ave for Lolly's (& Mimi's) birthday party and afterward, Scarlett and I drove to the Woodstock Festival in his dune buggy! Your Mom was always the hostess with the most-ess. Always interested in what each visitor/friend was doing, how they were getting along. Mary was a dear and a very loving person to know. She will be missed. Peace & Love always, Toad

So sorry to all of you for the loss of your Mom. I remember her as gracious, happy woman. When you went over to the house she was always glad to see you, offering you a drink or cup of coffee BUT don't you dare help yourself to ice. I only did it once due to an endearing reprimand. She was sweet. Here's a little spiritual Catholic trivia about your Mom. She had Lolly and Mimi on the feast day of the Assumption. She died on the feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. She prayed the rosary and of course her name was Mary. I find that comforting and believe she had a special place in Mary's heart and now a special place in heaven where of course she's still welcoming people graciously minus the worry about germs! I don't care how old you are it's always hard to lose your Mother. Please know my thoughts and prayers are for all of you at this time. Lovingly, Gerrie Lambo and Family

I remember long ago driving up to Darien from Hackensack with the family. We were all little kids excited to meet our cousins. Your mom was extremely nice and made us all feel welcome. Much later on trips to NY, we visited Charlie and Mary and your mom was always excited to see her brother's family, and learn of our life in Canada.

My favorite memory of Mrs. Murray will always be sitting at the Murray breakfast table with people running in and out and talking about all kinds of things with Mr. Murray poking his head in the kitchen to offer up his own joke or listen to all the commotion and Mrs. Murray would be standing at the sink doing dishes. In the midst of all the chaos she would be smiling and humming and every now and then saying "yes dear, that's fine." or "oh my, I don't think so." This was generally directed toward an individual child, her husband or a visitng friend like me. You are well loved Mrs. Murray!! A tearful hug for your family, Love, Karen
