Obituary of Constance Vodola

Constance "Connie" Vodola, a resident of Stamford, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Sunrise of Stamford. Born in August of 1934 in White Plains, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rocclina (Russo) Albanese. She was 73. Connie worked for the Stamford Public Schools as an account clerk for over 30 years in the Adult and Continuing Education Program. She was involved with the Parent/Teacher Association. She is survived by four sons, Steven and his wife Karen of Portland, CT; Michael and his wife Debbie of Branford, CT; David of New York City, NY; and Paul and his wife Tracy of Darien. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Katie and Kelly all of Darien; Joseph of New Jersey; Matthew of Shanghai, China; James and Amanda of Portland, CT and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Gary Albanese of Poughquag, NY; Michael Albanese of Southbury, CT; Kevin Albanese of Yonkers, NY; and John Brancato of New Port Charlotte, FL; and two sisters, Ginny Brancato of Cape Canaveral, FL and Annette Attanasio of Wappinger Falls, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Vodola. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
