The Depot Youth Center extends our deepest gratitude and condolences to the family and friends of David Dever, one of The Depot’s early board members. David’s vision, leadership, and belief in creating a safe and welcoming place for Darien’s youth helped lay the foundation for what The Depot continues to be today—a home away from home where young people can connect, grow, and belong. Though many of us did not have the privilege of knowing David personally, we honor his legacy and the lasting impact he made on generations of Darien teens and tweens.

So sorry to hear of Dave David Dever passing. During my years at Post Perfect Dever was the best broadcast sales engineers around and one of the nicest guys I knew. He will be missed.

On behalf of Darien Junior Sailing, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to David’s family. I didn’t know David, but the fact that he helped drive the early development of the program means that we owe him a debt of gratitude. The work he did set the stage for a youth sailing program that is still going strong after 50 years, benefiting thousands of Darien kids over the years (including 3 of my own).
